It’s honestly amazing what Santa Claus is able to do once he hits the sky. With just 9 mystical reindeer and a magical sleigh loaded with presents for all the nice children in the world. But I’m pretty confident the job can be pretty stressful at times for Father Christmas, and I’m sure he would gladly take on some assistance after decades. In this list I will list off some characters that would be excellent assistants for Saint Nick and help him out with his gift giving.
Mario and Luigi (Mario Series)
Mario and Luigi are best known for being Italian plumbers that thwart Bowser’s plans on taking over the Mushroom Kingdom and saving Princess Peach, but I feel they have plenty of excellent talents that would make them amazing assistants for Santa.
While known for their heroism and rightfully so, Mario and Luigi are very kindhearted individuals who often put the lives of the less fortunate before themselves. The Plumber Brothers also can get to locations very quickly and have excellent acrobatics to go from rooftop to rooftop without making much noise. Another great asset they have is their small size, which makes them easily able to climb down chimneys combined with their acrobatic prowess, making them extremely effective as gift givers.
Mavis (Fairy Tail)
Mavis Vermillion is the first master of the Fairy Tail guild, a guild built on the foundation of hard work, kindness and looking out for others, all aspects Santa Claus would admire in an assistant. Mavis is also a great tactician, so it could be very possible she could find the most effective way to distribute all the presents across the world with great efficiency, making her invaluable. Her ability to cast illusions could also come in handy in case Santa or herself get caught.
Sonic (Sonic Series)
Sonic shares many of the positive qualities that the previous entries have, including kindness, looks out for others and a very positive attitude. But what separates the blue blur from his contemporaries is his lightning speed, making him an extremely efficient gift giver in very little time. Sonic’s small size means chimney’s or other small spaces will rarely be a problem.
